In addition, I have been trained to be a Mental Health Professional, working with attorneys in the Collaborative Divorce Model. Collaborative divorce focuses on maintaining healthy communication and dignity while going through the divorce process. I strongly believe that for the health of the family and children , it is important to work together in a productive, non-acrimonious way.
Previously, with regard to my own tapestry, I have worked at the Elm Street Clinic and Triad Mental Health Services in Birmingham Michigan. Prior to that, I worked at the Day Hospital at Sinai Hospital. I received my undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin, and my graduate education at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and Simmons College School of Social Work.
In the community, I have been an advocate for mental health. I am on the Executive Committee of Kadima and have been on its board for many years. I was a Vice President of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Foundation, and I have developed and conducted bereavement support groups, pre-marital groups and workshops on strengthening your marriage.
